Haliburton Highlands OPPĀ were busy over the weekend, on Friday afternoon Police observed a black Ford pick-up truck travelling eastbound on Highway 118 at a 134 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr zone.
A 45 year-old Etobicoke man was charged and the vehicle he was driving was impounded, and his driverās licence was seized and suspended for 7 days under the stunt driving legislation.
Then early Sunday morning an officer was on general patrol on Bobcaygeon Road in Minden Hills Township, when he noticed a man who appeared to be sleeping in the driverās seat of a parked vehicle while the engine was running.
Police determined the driver had been drinking alcohol.
A 60 year old Minden Hills man was arrested and charged
