Starting today, Haliburton Highlands OPP will aim at making area roads safe.
This year’s initiatives will focus on the Big 4: impaired driving, seatbelts, distracted and aggressive driving.
Police say this is a national campaign with a goal of making Canada’s roads the safest in the world.
According to officials, they plan to make this happen by 2025.
They are asking residents to do their part by driving safely.
