An 800-square-foot addition is being planned for the Dorset Heritage Museum.
Officials say the space will be for additional displays, a fire-secure storage for records and a workspace.
They say the project will cost about $73,000, and it will come from reserves.
The Algonquin Highlands township supports the addition, which allows members of the museum to start engineered drawings.
