The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, the OPP, and the Ministry of Transportation have joined together to reduce the number of animal-car collisions in Haliburton County.

Officials say when a deer is being fed by a person, it keeps coming back, which causes a risk of collisions.

They have asked the Municipality of Haliburton County to reduce brush where deer tend to roam.

So far this year, 61 area wildlife car collisions have been reported.
