‘Hike Haliburton’ is now trademarked so no other organization can use the name inside of Canada.
Director of Tourism Amanda Virtanen says the formalization took place on May 31st.
She says they trademarked the name because the festival has become a well-known entity and brand asset to the County of Haliburton.
Virtanen says this week, the program and website registration will be ready.
