Greystone Construction wants to place a 1,000-gallon propane tank behind the Minden Hills council chambers.
Environmental and Property Operations Manager Ivan Ingram says the company failed to leave enough room to place the tank at the construction site which will supply the condo development along Newcastle Street.
The company is asking councillors if they can buy a parking space for $500 to place the tank.
Councillors are in support of the project, but say the price is too low.
