The Central Food Network has bought Heat Bank Haliburton County in order to continue the important work the organization does.
CFN President John Teljeur says A Place Called Home used to oversee the program, but its refocusing its priorities and the heat bank wouldn’t have been one of them.
Teljeur says the heat bank will continue to operate as it has in the past by supplying wood, fuel, information and hope to people in the county.
He says each year the program helps over 100 households.
