A second palliative care unit is in the works for Haliburton hospital. The Haliburton Echo reports it could be ready by the end of this year. The hospital already hasĀ one palliative care bed that sees constant use. The planning processĀ for the addition has been cut shorter, which means a sped up timelineĀ for the new unit.
