The drive into Haliburton Village is set for improvement in the fall. The Haliburton Echo reports that plans are in the works to reconstruct County Road 21 between Peninsula Drive and County Road 1. Reconstruction’s also slated for Highland Street up to Cedar Avenue. The improvements will only help boost tourism. Haliburton Village is already gearing up for a busy year with draws like the Terror on Wonderland Road, a Halloween-themed event that helps local food banks, moving into Head Lake Park this year. As well, a specialized dog show is coming to the park this August called ‘Airdogs’ – it’s expected to draw thousands of people.
