The Haliburton Highlands OPP would like to remind everyone not to leave their pets in their cars this summer.
Police say animals left in a hot car, even if it’s a short period of time, can get sick or even die.
They say people can get charged if they do this.
OPP say if you see an animal unattended in a hot vehicle, report it by calling the police, or the humane society.
