Scotiabank will be moving forward with plans to close its branches in Maynooth and Wilberforce.
This comes after a public meeting was held last night in Wilberforce, along with another one in Maynooth on Monday.
The plan is to consolidate these branches with the Bancroft location in January.
Director of Canadian Banking Communications Heather Armstrong says the goal of the meetings were to help customers when the changes do come into effect.

Armstrong says the branch consolidation is being driven by the way people want to do their banking.
She says 80 per cent of all transactions take place outside of the branch, although Scotiabank does understand not all customer use digital or online banking.
