The Fleming-built Highlands East library branch has won a 2016 Ontario Library Association New Library Building Award.
Students in the Sustainable Building Design and Construction program built the building in 2013 in Wilberforce.
Dean of the school Sandra Dupret says she’s extremely proud of the students and teachers behind the project.
Dupret says they did a great job creating a structure that would give back to the community.
Executive Director of OLA Shelagh Paterson says the award is for being a well-designed place for play, energy, serenity and excitement.
