MTO not letting Haliburton hashtag on provincial Highway signs

New boundary signage along provincial highways won’t be carrying any hashtags. The Haliburton Echo reports that Haliburton County’s new tag line ‘MyHaliburtonHighlands’ will be on the signs, but without the signature number sign signifying a hash tag on twitter and Facebook. This is because the MTO doesn’t allow
internet addresses on the signage and the ministry considers hashtags as falling in the same category. The hashtag could still be allowed with the slogan on signage along county roads.
