The municipality of Dysart et al is urging new property owners to contact the office for account balance inquiries.
Councillors say just in case Canada Post does go on strike or lockout, residents need to know what to do.
They say property owners will still be required to keep their account current.
This comes after ongoing negotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.
