Laurie Scott wants to see the province take more steps to stop human-trafficking in Ontario.
Prince-Edward Hastings MPP Todd Smith is in support of the ‘Save the Girl Next Door’ bill, introduced by Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MPP Laurie Scott.
Scott told Smith the aim is to introduce a multi-jurisdictional police task force meant to stop human trafficking.
Scott says, in one year, a pimp can make over $250,000 from exploiting a single girl.
She says pimps look for vulnerable girls and boys over social media.
