The first Explore Our Lakes event is this Thursday at Head Lake Park and Algonquin Outfitters.
This is part of Dysart’s plans to gather paddling information to create an online paper before Canada’s 150th anniversary.
The information gathered will be used to promote a better boating experience.
Recreation Program Coordinator Andrea Mueller is encouraging people to come to the event on Thursday, to enjoy free boat demonstrations and lessons.
Mueller says the goal is to get people out on the water, enjoying the beautiful landscape and practicing water safety.
