Dry conditions being monitored by local fire departments

At this time, there is not a fire ban in effect for the municipality of Dysart et al.

Fire Chief Mike Iles says the situation is being monitored daily, and any fire ban will be announced through media.

Iles says it will also be posted on various fire rating boards throughout the municipality.

He says it’s dry and caution needs to be taken if people are lighting camp fires.

Burning regulations for the municipality does not permit daytime burning from April 1st, to October 31st.

Minden Hill’s Fire Chief Doug Schell says there isn’t a fire ban on as of yet for Haliburton County.

Schell says daytime burn permits aren’t being issued.
