Ontario is investing $16 million towards 140 agencies across the province to help them serve children, youth and families.

Over $40,000 is going towards two local organizations.

The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society will be getting new windows for 26 units.

John Howard Society of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton will be getting new gutters, downspouts and leader extensions.

Officials say last year, hundreds of community agencies received more than $20 million towards upgrades and repairs.
