UPDATE: Pickering man killed in snowmobile crash on Boice Bradley Drive

Haliburton Highlands OPP is investigating a fatal snowmobile crash. Emergency crews were called to Boice Bradley Drive in the Municipality of Dysart et al just before 11 o’clock Friday night. Police say a man was riding his 2002 Polaris when he lost control of the machine and crashed into a tree about half a kilometre north of Haliburton Lake Road. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Haliburton Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Investigators say it appears at this time that he was unfamiliar with the area and speed may have been a factor in the collision. Police now say the victim was originally identified as 59 year old Ronald Parker from Pickering, but an error was made and the correct name is Donald Parker.
