Our local health unit wants well owners to test their water because of the dry conditions in Haliburton County.
The Haliburton-Kawartha-Pine Ridge District Health Unit says even though it has rained, it can take a considerable amount of time for wells to recover from a lack of rain.
Officials are encouraging residents to conserve water to prevent your well from running dry.
They say all private well owners should be testing their water to make sure it’s safe for drinking.
