Avoid the risks of wildlife collisions

The Haliburton Highlands OPP would like to remind you to stay focused while you’re driving.

Over the last nine days, police have responded to 15 collisions.

Constable Tim Negus says four of them involved wild animals.

Negus says two deer, one bear cub, and one moose were hit by vehicles.

Officials say watch for wildlife while driving because they can appear suddenly at any time of the day or night.
