With this year’s dry conditions Dysart et al will see more dead trees.
Director of Public Works Brian Nicholson says over the last few years the town has had to deal with dead trees along roads.
Nicholson says the forests have been attacked by diseases and pests.
He says many affected trees are close to structures and infrastructures.
According to Nicholson, in 2017, the municipality needs to undertake a multi-year program of removing the dead trees which will be costly.
