The new artwork in the Haliburton Sculpture Forest was inspired by a man who passed away last year.
The sculpture “Together We Explore The Wild” was made to honour Shawn Hagerman.
It’s of two children riding on the back of a bear.
Curator of the Haliburton Sculpture Forest Jim Blake says Hagerman was someone who found peace and joy in exploring the wilderness with his family and friends.
