After serving as current MP Barry Devolin’s chief of staff for ten years, Schmale is hoping to gain the support of local party members. He says his campaign will focus on jobs and the economy in the area. This includes increasing the potential of the Trent-Severn Waterway, which he says can be a great economic driver. Local Conservative Party members will vote for a candidate later this year.
