Ontario is giving Cardiff money for improvements

The Municipality of Highlands East is getting money from the province for an infrastructure project.

Cardiff will be using it for water service improvements.

This is because Ontario is dedicating $3.2 billion from the sale of Hydro One Shares in 2015 to the Trillium Trust fund.

Officials say there will be over 450 projects supported across the province from this money.

They say Ontario’s population is expected to grow by 40 per cent by 2041, and our infrastructure needs to grow with it.
