For the first time, registration is full for the Haliburton-Muskoka-Kawartha Children’s Water Festival.

This event motivates students in grades four to six to become water stewards in their homes, classrooms, and communities.

Coordinator Irene Heaven says 1,300 students are signed up which is the capacity, but there is a waiting list.

Heaven says they are seeking more volunteers because of the number of kids coming.

The event is on September 26th and 27th.
