Key tags saving your lost keys

The war amputee CHAMPS program has begun sending out key tags to residents with a K and L postal code.

The key tag service is provided free of charge by the program. A key tag is given to each household, which is attached to your key chain.

With this tag, lost keys can be dropped in any Canada Post mailbox and are returned to their owner.

As this service is CHAMPS’ sole source of funding, they encourage people to donate if they find the service valuable.

Funds go toward supporting programs and purchasing artificial limbs for child amputees and all amputees across Canada.

“I’ve really benefitted from the war amps CHAMPS program as I was born without my right arm just below the elbow and they’ve assisted me throughout my entire life with artificial limbs and emotional support,” says CHAMPS member Jamie Lunn.

War Amputees provides seminars and support programs designed to help amputees understand their future and develop tips and tricks for living day by day.

Residents with a P postal code can expect their key tags in the mail near the end of April. Tags are sent automatically, but can also be ordered at waramps.ca

Donations to the CHAMPS program can be made online at waramps.ca or by calling 1-800-250-3030.
