Our local YWCA is getting a gift to help local women and children fleeing violence.
Leon’s is donating $10,000 worth of furniture and appliances for Crossroads Shelter.
The organization says with this donation they will be able to meet the practical needs of those in the shelter.
Last year, it was full 90 per cent of the time.

Some of the items they will be getting include dishwashers, washing machines, beds, chairs, cots, and couches.
Leon’s will be presenting the gift to our local YWCA this Saturday in Peterborough.
