Resident from Haliburton County Charged After Driving While Impaired

The Haliburton Highlands OPP says keeping our roads safe is every driver’s responsibility.

This comes after officers did a R.I.D.E check on Kennisis Lake Road on September 18^th.

Constable Tim Negus says during the check a driver was stopped and was asked to breathe into a breathalyzer.

Negus says the results showed he was impaired.

The 24-year-old from Haliburton County was then arrested and sent to the OPP detachment for further testing.

He will appear in court on November 2^nd.
