A mistrial has been announced in the Ryan Kennedy murder case.
The Minden Times reported a spokesperson for the Ministry of the Attorney General confirmed the mistrial was declared on Mar. 13.
Kennedy died in October 2011 after he was beaten at a Minden home. Mason Gillard-Gatza, Tin Wai Hong, Raphael Guerra and Nathanial Cain were charged with first-degree and attempted murder.
The trial began on Jan. 21 in an Oshawa court. A new trial will be set Apr. 24.
