Canadian Blood Services is holding a blood donor clinic in Haliburton on Monday.
It will be at the Royal Canadian Legion from 2:30pm to 6:30pm.
The organization says residents are being encouraged to donate blood, because 100,000 new donors are needed every year to meet demands.
They say it can take up to 50 units of blood to save a person after a car accident.
