County council might be launching campaigns to lobby against the proposed OPP billing model.
At yesterday’s Algonquin Highlands council meeting, Reeve Carol Moffatt told councilors of a social media campaign and a call to action day that may take effect soon.
Details will be made clear at a meeting next week where county council will meet with OPP to address concerns.
Should the model be approved, Haliburton County would see a $5 million increase in OPP costs.
