A driver is facing two charges after failing to wear a seatbelt

A Haliburton County resident is facing consequences after police found marijuana in the driver’s car.

On Wednesday, officers were conducting Seatbelt Compliance checks, and stopped the driver for not being buckled up.

Constable Tim Negus says this is when police found marijuana in the car.

The driver is now facing charges for having drugs, and not wearing his seatbelt.

The Haliburton County resident will appear in Minden Court on December 7^th.
