The Haliburton Highlands OPP is asking residents to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.

Marijuana season is approaching, and the police would like to remind people about this.

They say usually outdoor marijuana is kept outdoors as long as possible to maximize the yield.

Officials say harvesting usually begins after the first frost of the year as most plants will not typically survive a second frost.

If you are out hiking in a remote area be on the lookout for hand tools, power tools, camouflage netting, watering supplies and fertilizer.

If you spot a potential grow site, contact our local OPP.
