Officials say people must wear their life jackets, drive sober, carry their operator card, and respect rules and regulations promoting safe boating.
They are also reminding drivers to not put the well-being of others at risk.
The OPP says obey posted speed limits, drive sober, and only use hands-free communication devices.
The police say all drivers have a role to play in keeping highways safe.
