The Municipality of Highlands East is asking residents to start thinking of events for Canada Day 2017.
Chair of the Housing and Grants Committee Cam McKenzie says it’s our country’s 150th anniversary on July 1st.
McKenzie says they are planning on having an event in Cardiff which will end in Gooderham with stops in all the communities along the way.
The municipality will be applying for a grant with hopes of getting $50,000.
