Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MPP Laurie Scott says last week she was in Hamilton talking to police and victim services who are frustrated with the lack of support from the government. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/human-trafficking-V1-1.mp3 Scott says this story shows it can happen to anyone. She says the province needs legislative action, and her bill Saving the Girl Next Door Act represents an important step in the right direction. The bill would make it possible for a protection order, and would force the perpetrator to stay away from the victim.
