Help get more low-cost dental programs in Haliburton County

Our local health unit wants the government to make low-cost dental programs available for low-income adults and seniors.

In order to do this, the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit needs residents to sign a petition.

It is asking the government to expand publically-funded dental assistance programs.

Officials say the majority of publically funded programs are for people under 18-years-old. So this would help low-income people over the age of 18 get oral care.

The government has announced an expansion of dental coverage by 2025. But, our health unit wants it to be done within the next two years.

The petition can be found here.
