The Haliburton Highlands OPP is reminding children and parents to be careful this Halloween.
Constable Tim Negus says to trick-or-treat in familiar neighbourhoods, and to only cross streets at the corner.
Negus wants kids to use the buddy system while going door-to-door.
He’s also reminding parents to check their children’s candy before they eat it.
The OPP will be out on the streets making sure everyone is having a fun and safe Halloween.
