Local students experience our capital

Our local MP went around to high schools in his riding to show students career opportunities.

From October 23rd, to October 25th, fifteen students were given a first-hand look at post-secondary careers through visits and interactions with groups, and organizations in Ottawa.

This part of the Capital Experience program, which was started by our former MP Barry Devolin.

Haliburton-Brock-Kawartha Lakes MP Jamie Schmale says this allows him to work with young people and expose them to opportunities they may not have considered or been aware of.

Haliburton Highlands Secondary School student Andrew Carmount says he got to see how our government works. He recommends this to any student, whether their interested in politics or not.
