TLDSB Wants Residents to Feel Safe and Protected

Our local school board wants residents to know about its procedure when it comes to threatening behaviours from students.

In some cases, the Trillium Lakelands District School Board has to initiate a Threat Risk Assessment.

Haliburton Highlands Secondary School Principal Dan Marsden says this happens when a student is demonstrating serious violence, threats, and worrisome behaviour. The assessment team consists of a police officer, an administrator and a school support person.

Marsden says the process will include an intervention plan.  He says this is to keep all members of Haliburton County safe and protected.
