News Quit smoking and win money SHARE ON: Kaitlin Livingston, contributor, Friday, Nov. 25th, 2016 Our local health unit wants to help young adults quit, or cut back their tobacco use. In order to do this, there’s a contest called Would You Rather? People can win up to $5,000. The Haliburton-Kawartha-Pine Ridge District Health Unit says this contest has been proven to help people quit, or cut back. They say it motivates people to quit smoking by offering cash prizes. There are four categories, quit for good, cut back 50 per cent, party without smoking, and stay tobacco-free for six weeks. The contest is only for people between the ages of 18 and 29. Registration has to be completed before January 22nd. Click here for more information.
