Don’t Veer for Deer

Deer collisions still continue to be an issue in Haliburton County.

Last week, from November 21st, to November 27th, there were six deer collisions in Haliburton County.

Constable Tim Negus wants to remind drivers not to veer for deer because it can end fatally. Negus says to scan ditches for these animals, and if you see a deer warning sign, slow down.

He says to use high beam lights for better visibility, and always scan the horizon for deer crossing on the roads.
