The food banks in Haliburton County are celebrating because the community raised over $25,000 for them.
Our annual radiothon took place on Thursday and Friday. We were live on air both days from 6:00am, to 6:00pm.
The donation you made will be going towards local families in need over the holidays, and year-round food.
Chair of the Minden Food Bank Marilynne Lesperance says the money helps because for every $1.00 donated three meals can be made. Lesperance says she’s overwhelmed with the support from the community.
