Highlands East will be getting thousands from provincial gas tax funding.
The province says a combined total of over $51,000 in gas tax funding is being given to Bancroft, Hastings Highlands, and Highlands East in 2016/2017.
The program gives municipalities two cents for every litre of provincial gas tax revenues.
This is part of the province’s goal to improve public transit, reduce congestion, and make sure people get to where they’re going faster.
