A local charity needs your help keeping its doors open.
Last year, the YWCA had to close its women’s shelter in Haliburton County for five months because they didn’t have enough money.
Director of Communications Jennifer Cureton says they don’t want to have to do that again.
Cureton says they don’t want children to have to leave schools, or for mothers to have to find another job because they have to move.
She says they need to raise $120,000 to keep the services in the County. So far, they have raised $88,000.
