Our local police are asking you to be extra careful of scammers this holiday season.
They say in Ontario there have been reports of fraudsters calling people to tell them they won the lottery. The scammer ends up asking for a large sum of money in order to collect the prize.
The Haliburton Highlands OPP says scams aren’t always transparent. They say to never give out any banking or personal information to a source you don’t know.
