A new program is geared towards helping those at risk of suicide in Haliburton. It’s a two-year pilot program from the Canadian Mental Health Association, to provide a safety net.

Davies says the pilot project costs $80,000 a year. Fifty per cent of the cost has been covered because of community donations.
