Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Haliburton area for Monday.
Starting in the late morning, freezing rain is expected to fall into the afternoon before it changes to regular rain.
The weather service warns some areas could see five to 10 millimetres of ice build-up.
This will affect roads causing poor driving conditions over the morning.
Officials say if travel is not necessary you should consider waiting until the freezing rain has stopped.
