If you’re planning on drinking this holiday season, you better get someone to pick you up.
The Haliburton Highlands OPP is getting ready for New Years by having R.I.D.E checks. Officials will be out in full force this week making sure people aren’t drinking and driving. Police say if you break the rules, you’ll be charged, and you could go to jail.
They say the worst thing is innocent lives are put at risk. The OPP says to plan ahead before heading out to drink this holiday season.
